My first thought is it should be named Kapoho Island since it replaces Kapoho Bay, however Hawai’i is now naming everything after Daniel K. Inouye so it will be the island of Daniel K. Inouye. We really should name it Obie Island. I suspect if this eruption continues it will become a point or peninsula.
