Hawaiian Acres flooding - Haole Bill - 09-03-2018 I know the flooding during and in the aftermath of hurricane Lane was devestating for many, my heart goes out to those who were negatively effected. I currently live off island but own properties and am preparing to build on same, near the beginning of Road One off of South Kulani road. Does anyone have any pictures, that they are willing to share, of the low corner at the beginning of Road One during this event. I am curious as to the level of flooding and how it compares to the FEMA BFE (Base Flood Elevations), recently determined by County of Hawaii. Please respond to william.malone@att.net RE: Hawaiian Acres flooding - kalakoa - 09-03-2018 No pictures but it appears the river followed Old Volcano Trail ("Road A"), forking at Road 2. Best person to ask would be the guy who bought "the lot with the flood diversion wall", but I don't think he's on these forums. RE: Hawaiian Acres flooding - lquade - 09-04-2018 wasn't there a movie "the river runs through" well that was it. it even swept away the junk car that was there but couldn't get out there to take any pictures (the road was flooded) |
