Hvo - dan d - 10-17-2018 In the ERZ, tiltmeters near Pu#699;u #699;#332;#699;#333; and farther east continue to record an inflationary trend, consistent with refilling of the middle East Rift Zone. At the summit, tiltmeters have recorded a slight inflationary trend; however, this signal is small and could be due to heavy rainfall. -------------------------------- What u think glinda? RE: Hvo - LazyLehua - 10-17-2018 This is actually all normal and expected. They lava will re-supply these areas and slowly fill up the magma reservoirs and chambers in ERZ and at the summit. Stacey Living the life in Cali and Hawai‘i RE: Hvo - glinda - 10-17-2018 I believe this question was already answered, here... http://www.punaweb.org/Forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=25513 RE: Hvo - dan d - 10-18-2018 Thanks glinda, but back then u said its was up and down on the deformation. Hope the pirates didnt get him Aloha HPP RE: Hvo - glinda - 10-18-2018 Yes, but keep in mind.. this signal is small.... Though yes.. if you look at the last month worth of data here... https://volcanoes.usgs.gov/vsc/captures/kilauea/summit_erz_tilt_month.png there is a flattening and very slow resumption of inflation at the summit that started about Oct 8 or 9. But we are talking slight. Accounting for 1 - 2 microradians so far.. |
