Kapoho - AKpilot - 10-27-2018 Did ANY homes in Kapoho survive? I remember seeing a couple at the very edge near the ocean (north end). Any make it? AKpilot We're all here, because we're not all there! RE: Kapoho - Alex - 10-28-2018 No official info from county.Smiley Burrows is collecting signatures on petition for getting access for "lots of beatiful home and farms".It is more than 1500 now, both online and in person . There was a meeting on BI video news about getting access with Eileen O'Hara. Check youtube.Type "big island video news access road" or check Hawaii Tracker on FB, Oct.19.(No FB account required). I tried to post the link but it comes too long and I failed to edit. RE: Kapoho - ElysianWort - 10-28-2018 If you look at the google map it appears there are a couple structures on the north side near where champagne ponds used to be. Only a couple out of hundreds. https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewer?hl=en&mid=1CvBhH9wEeztBrqYbsGDi4YjU1k1QH5AL&ll=19.50719263539119%2C-154.81852310082604&z=19 RE: Kapoho - Missey - 10-28-2018 Arggh it hurts. Sad that such beautiful places don’t exist for our grandkids to enjoy and we can no longer share with them. RE: Kapoho - Ashley - 10-28-2018 I don't know where Smiley found "lots of homes" in Kapoho she mentioned on her FB page.In BI news she said she also owns a home in Leilani. May be she includes Leilani kipuka too. RE: Kapoho - Alex - 10-28-2018 It looks like some people returned home by helicopter: https://m.facebook.com/groups/hawaiitracker/?ref=group_header&view=group#!/groups/357455554420269?view=permalink&id=1113893792109771&refid=18&ref=group_header&_ft_=qid.6617463333312461023%3Amf_story_key.1113893792109771%3Atop_level_post_id.1113893792109771%3Atl_objid.1113893792109771%3Acontent_owner_id_new.783087507%3Aoriginal_content_id.10156432872865622%3Asrc.22%3Aphoto_attachments_list.%5B10156432873590622%2C10156432912710622%2C10156432874565622%2C10156432874525622%2C10156432874510622%5D%3Aphoto_id.10156432873590622%3Astory_location.6%3Aattached_story_attachment_style.new_album&__tn__=%2As%2As-R RE: Kapoho - Obie - 10-28-2018 To the right of this picture is a high ridge where there are dozens of homes that are cut off. https://scontent-lax3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/43586592_10156432874360622_7434710177468645376_n.jpg?_nc_cat=103&_nc_ht=scontent-lax3-1.xx&oh=08f9534132b9068486d3d324175541e2&oe=5C4632BF The remaining homes in Kapoho : https://scontent-lax3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/44931471_2177649805601429_4247245424747872256_n.jpg?_nc_cat=105&_nc_ht=scontent-lax3-1.xx&oh=d237ae5fa4ab2ec170a71230e030d2ec&oe=5C888140 RE: Kapoho - Mangosteen - 10-28-2018 quote: I like how a few Puna residents are "entitled" to have the County spend countless thousands of taxpayer dollars on a road to the house. RE: Kapoho - AKpilot - 10-28-2018 Wow! We're all here, because we're not all there! RE: Kapoho - Rob Tucker - 10-28-2018 Access to a lot is required by law. The access was there, was destroyed and needs to be restored. |
