Truck Thief - Idiot? Or Genius? - HereOnThePrimalEdge - 02-20-2020 The story begins with a set up that looks like yet another world's stupidest criminal saga: A Hilo grand jury has indicted a 35-year-old Hilo man accused of stealing a deputy prosecutor’s pickup truck late last year. I can almost hear the crook, assuming he's a fan of Turner Classic Movies mumble to himself: Of all the pickup trucks in all the towns on this island, I gotta pick this one. Play it, Sam. But then, the big twist at the end (SPOILER ALERT): The Hawaii County Office of the Prosecuting Attorney has recused itself from Hashizaki’s case, since it is his employer. https://www.hawaiitribune-herald.com/2020/02/20/hawaii-news/hilo-man-indicted-for-theft-of-deputy-prosecutors-truck/ (The court will fly prosecutors in from Kauai however. Can we assume the defendant will also enjoy the free services of a taxpayer funded court appointed attorney?) RE: Truck Thief - Idiot? Or Genius? - Punatic007 - 02-20-2020 Idiot or genius? I think the jury is still out on that one. We shall see. RE: Truck Thief - Idiot?
