Looking for a Graph ... - 1voyager1 - 04-13-2020
Haven't been able to find graphs of confirmed cases for the U.S. or Hawaii like the one on the JH site for world confirmed cases.
The JH graph is updated at least daily and is still rising exponentially.
Because the number of areas are still enlarging and growing, it cannot be ued to follow what is happening in the U.S. or Hawaii.
So, looking for a daily updated, or more often, graph of confirmed cases in Hawaii and the U.S.
They should show the break point when it arrives.
Anyone see one?

On the John Hopkins site, you can click on the Country in the left column to get their data and graph for comparing.
Or you can look at https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/#countries and click a country in the list to get their data with graphs for total cases, daily new cases, total deaths, daily deaths, etc...
There is not a lack of data available for this event that's for sure!

great data iron yak. so sad to see with all the cases that this has not really hit india and pakistan yet. that is certainly going to drive up the cases/deaths

This was sparked by making contact with my brother.
He and all but 1 of my family are in WA, the other is in AZ, both high case states.
He sent an account and copies of emails with other sibs.
Like me, they're very glad they're on fixed incomes, not needing work or business income and expenses, payments [car and such], etc.
Although, the future economic impacts, might cause So-Sec and other retirement reductions if the cost of living drops, dollar valuation changes, or whatever.
EDIT:
We're very fortunate that we just refinanced our home to reduce our payments.
The lower payments begin next month.
It will give more protection in any upcoming financial shifts.
It seems as if they have reacted much as I've assumed I will to an infection.
My brother caught it making a recreational flight in Feb, giving it to his wife and others at a family get together in March.
Their cases were relatively mild, no serious effects reported, and are pretty much healed now.
It did take a month or two to run its course.
From things said, I see in them the same lack of taking it serious as I've seen in most people in the early period, even some still.

John Hopkins now has a county-level view for the US where you can click on a county and get a summary of their covid situation and context (health care resources, demographics, government actions, etc) including for just the Big Island.

NY Times has an excellent set of maps and summaries, both for the world, but also for US built up from the county data. Rivals what many state DOH are doing and makes looking for trends and where new cases are developing quite easy. Probably the best dashboard for the US data I've seen so far.
