HDOT vehicle tracking - Greg_E - 10-30-2020 Makes one wonder if they're tracking the bluetooth IDs from cell phones as well as bluetooth IDs from vehicles. https://www.bigislandvideonews.com/2020/10/28/data-collecting-vehicle-sensors-installed-on-east-hawaii-highways/ RE: HDOT vehicle tracking - HereOnThePrimalEdge - 10-30-2020 Thanks Greg_E, At 6:20 PM I checked Keaau to Hilo on Hwy 11 - - traffic is moving at 50 mph. Out of Hilo towards Keaau, 21 mph. Is that normal, or is the new Shipman Business Park traffic light still throwing drivers for a loop? RE: HDOT vehicle tracking - Greg_E - 10-30-2020 I suspect it will take a while longer for them to get the Shipman light timed for minimal disruption during rush hours. There are some interesting comments at the end of this related article. https://www.hawaiitribune-herald.com/2020/10/29/hawaii-news/new-light-snarls-traffic-dot-says-timing-will-undergo-adjustments/ |
