Where was the dog last seen? If you havenʻt already done this, you can list your lost pet at the Humane Society:

Good luck.

He was last seen about 5 driveways into Orchidland on 38th.  They have posted him there too, I know some folks spend more time here so I wanted to get the word out. Too bad there's such a small limit on picture size.

Post a photo link to Imgur or any other picture hosting site.

Best wishes, I hope he gets found.

The Hawaiian Humane Society is on Oahu.. as such I imagine one would be better served via the Hawaii Island Humane Society. Their website has a lost and found as well..

http://www.hihs.org/services/lost-found

Just a hunch.. maybe even use both?

I can't vouch for our current humane society.. they've had a storied history.. and I am no longer in touch with any of the current staff. I think I saw mention of a lot of changes there lately.. but hey, they are still there.

I hate lost pets.. feel horribly for them. I had one instance years ago when we moved into the 3 acre squares (makai end of Volcano area) years ago, in the '80s, when a cat went missing within a day of moving there. We were in the back.. seven streets in.. and the whole family would walk from our house out to the highway and back at dawn and dusk every day calling.. loudly... her name; and three weeks later.. when we were only holding out hope for the kids sake.. she.. her name was Puanani.. walked into the house a few minutes after we got home from one of those walks.

I hope Aaron's dog is found too..

Not being aware of the proximity of Aaron's house to "5 driveways into Orchidland on 38th", but if the dog is new to the area he is at a disadvantage scentwise.
I would recommend that Aaron place a sweaty t shirt at the end of his driveway as a beacon.

Walk the general area where the dog was last seen and spend time calling his name.

Also, try craigslist and facebook marketplace. It may be a long shot but scummy people can be desperate around the holidays.

Best of luck and remember, according to the ASPCA roughly 85% of lost dogs are found so keep the faith!

Please call Pet Recovery Specialist, Babs Fry immediately! 619-249-2221. She is based in San Diego and will give free advice over the phone. I did everything she suggested, my sweet girl came back home the next day!!

Quick rundown on a couple of things Babs Fry suggests: Do not go out searching either on foot or by vehicle, you will spread your scent and confuse the dog. Take a dirty sock and toss it as high as you can in a tree near the front of your property.  Pour some chicken broth in a bush near the front of your property. Leave gates open. She has many other great suggestions. You can Google her and find many testimonials.

I like the dirty sock idea. Not sure about the chicken soup.
