Farmable lava? - Ccat - 04-12-2022 There is a lot of new lava covered land available these days. What does it take to create farmable earth from bare, new lava? What does it cost to turn lava into farmland? Thanks, Ccat RE: Farmable lava? - Rob Tucker - 04-12-2022 Papaya seems to grow well in busted up lava for some reason. Otherwise the best treatment is to give it 200 years or so. RE: Farmable lava? - HereOnThePrimalEdge - 04-12-2022 As Rob said, papaya. Perhaps bananas. You would need to rip the property for access, planting, fertilizing, harvesting. Probably add some soil, mounded where you plant. Another possibility is anything in a greenhouse, flowers, vegetables, etc. RE: Farmable lava? - kalakoa - 04-12-2022 What does it take to create farmable earth from bare, new lava?
