Recommendations for anyone doing Prebuilt sheds delivered to Pahoa area? - TeaTree - 01-01-2023

I need to put in a small shed to use as an art studio, so just need a shell.  8 x 10 or 8 x 14 or 10 x 12, any of these dimensions or similar would work. I have a flat accessible site and can provide pier blocks and leveling, but I need someone to either deliver a Prebuilt shed or build it on site. Pahoa address, but way out. Down a paved road though. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

HPM is selling their pre-done sheds now. $12,000 for a 10x20 I think. I'd guess $1000-$1500 to move to Pahoa, which isn't far from where they make them (Keaau I think).

Thank you for your reply! I actually spoke with HPM already as they seem to be the only game in town. 10x20 is too long for my space, but they did say that within a month they might be offering 8x10 and 10x12. Only other problem is that the roof has no overhang.

I found an ad on FaceBook Marketplace for someone in Pahoa offering shed kits delivered and built on-site. The sheds look great in the photos, but the ad says they want 50% down up front. They claim to offer references, but I just don't think I can trust this unless someone other than the references they provide has used them?

How about, can anyone recommend an on-site shed builder? Maybe that's a better way for me to go.

Home Depot has shed kits available, some in stock. I recommend staying away from wood structures.

Here's a link on plastic sheds:

Here's a link on metal sheds:

Even if you add extra for a floor these are way, way cheaper than HPM.

Good Luck!

I had a shed built 2 years ago. I had a slab that was 8x12 existing.

I paid Argus lumber $2412.00 for a shed kit from a plan on their website and another $1000.00 for 2 framers.

It is finished outside with Hardiplank siding so I'm not too worried about termites.

Wow, you got a good deal. Where did you find the framers? Did Argus recommend someone?

They were friends and I was the third framer and laborer.

It only takes a couple of days to put one together. You could save money by doing the painting .

Argus supplied the roof metal and hardiplank siding but they got the metal from HPM and I'm not sure where the siding came from. It was all delivered on one truck. I had Ahona Gutters here to hang gutters and downspouts.
