RAINGEAR - HAWAIIFEL - 02-23-2023
Halooooo!
With all the rains we are having, Im wondering what everyone is using to stay dry while being outside.
Ive got a bunch of fancy jackets but none of them seems to work on heavy rain. ALWAYS end up using the plastic Poncho but that doesnt last long, too.
Your exhortation is highly appreciated.

Doing your own research you’ve already discovered nothing prevents the rain from getting you wet. This probably has no effect either, but take a look:

PS: i did my research and thats the reason why i have lots of rain gears because i bought all those recommendations. but still.....
Just hoping to find something more than poncho or something like that. heavy duty but lighter to carry.

I use a rain jacket with hood and resignation. Embrace the wet. Since thereʻs not much choice.

Wear swim shorts, slippahs, and quick-dry clothing.
Or ignore the rain, since it's just a government plot to control what you wear, and umbrellas cause autism.

Rain suit, not jacket. Big diff. Like the stuff you see people wearing holding the STOP/SLOW signs when they are fixing the power lines.
Anything that "breathes" let's in a little water, which in a downpour just means you get wet.

100% Nylon superior to polyester or poly blend for working in the jungle.
Pants or board shorts.
eta. tsinelas is life. Crocs are for people whole have lost they will to live. Same same goes for any open " river sandals " like Keens, Tevas etc. Totally useless as they let in ( and keep in ) more detritus than closed or simple locals slippas.
