In the spirit of Christmas, I would like to offer a rare, but absolutely truly amazingly beautiful rendition of a classic Christmas song - performed in 1977, with at that time, two (2) artists - who were diametrically opposed opposites, that almost did not happen (you can read about all of that here: Back Story) due to the unacceptance of "being different" and then the hasty re-write of the song to suit one of the performers - but they came together to create this beautiful duet.
So, again, in the spirit of Christmas, I present Bing Crosby and David Bowie, singing "Peace on Earth/Little Drummer Boy"
This was also Bing's last recorded performance; he passed away 1 month after this was recorded. I hope you enjoy this! (The clip starts with some unusual banter between Bing and David, eventually going into their duet.)

Christmas is always too short, and from now until April 15, the big worry will be Taxes (in both March and April).

HiloJulie - thanks for the Bing/David clip. It brought back memories of the first time I watched it, with many smiles and fond thoughts of times and people now gone.

I remember seeing it as a young 19-year-old college girl and HUGE David Bowie fan when it aired in 1977.
I still wonder however, what Bing would have thought about his daughter Mary being the one who actually shot J.R. Ewing!
