"...The discovery marks the second CRB detection in Hilo within the past year.
According to the Big Island Invasive Species Committee, the dead adult beetle was collected from a detection trap at the airport on Monday, July 6. Officials believe the insect entered the trap sometime after a routine check on June 16.
In response to the latest detection, BIISC and the Hawaiʻi Department of Agriculture and Biosecurity are deploying additional traps around East Hawaiʻi..."
