Welcome back TomK - Punatang - 09-24-2026

Scrolling through a thread yesterday, it appeared that the line has been removed from Tom's name.  Hopefully our Tom is aware of this and we can soon enjoy his participation in Punaweb again.

Welcome back Tom.

He's aware but probably won't be posting much, if at all, unless something comes up of interest regarding astronomy.

RE: Welcome back TomK - Punatang - 10-21-2026

That is too bad.  We don't always agree, but at least Tom is honest.

but at least Tom is honest.

I personally, and honestly, vehemently disagree.

Thereʻs an old saying about letting sleeping dogs lie.

RE: Welcome back TomK - HereOnThePrimalEdge - 10-21-2026

sleeping dogs lie.

WHAT!
I disagree!  Sleeping dogs, even dogs when they’re awake most certainly do not lie!

RE: Welcome back TomK - Punatang - 10-21-2026

What evidence do you have?

RE: Welcome back TomK - kalianna - 10-21-2026

Actually HOTPE, knowing the spelling police might be alerted about this, I looked it up before I posted and itʻs grammatically correct.

• Lay (to place something):
• Present: lay
• Past: laid
• Past Participle: laid
• Present Participle: laying
• Example: I lay the keys on the desk. Yesterday, I laid them on the counter.
• Lie (to recline or rest):
• Present: lie
• Past: lay
• Past Participle: lain
• Present Participle: lying
• Example: I lie on the bed. Yesterday, I lay on the bed.

Besides, my dig lies all the time. "Did you get fed? No?! Oh poor baby." NOT.

Tom was an MI5 agent at one time?   Interesting.

I'm in total agreement HOTPE. Take Barney, he goes out of his way not to lie. Ask him if he is a bad dog, he answers with "damn straight I am." Ask him if he had his dinner, he says "yeah, 2 of them. And what is the problem and delay on the 3rd one?" Tell him to get off the couch, he says, "get out of my house!"

Yeah, dogs never lie!
