Very desperately need to find out the cost of a short hair, cut and color in Puna. My boss has given me this task or else.

I remember from old posts that women were not particular happy with the job done in the salons.
But everyone was fond of Lotus,PW member. Was it $35? I think she is not in Puna now,but you can e-mail her through PW.

Also, Lani's Salon & Day Spa is behind KTA on Kilauea...she's awesome...from LA and been here for 8 or more years. She really hears what you want. I loved Lotus, but really missed the salon experience.

hmm sounds like I need to get my salon opened, been doing hair for 17 years have done t.v film runway catalog work and some major films but my love is still to make my clients as happy and sexy as possible. I am into easy low maintence hair that works for the individual.
Ive been running my own salon for the last 5 years in a day spa atmoshper, I only work with one client at a time, its my hobbie that I get paid for.
If your stylist isnt giving you a proper consultation and setting goals for your hair then you need to find a new stylist.

Thanks Everyone. That should make the missus happy. Does anyone have a price range? Doesn't have to be exact, just ball park. Trying to get a handle on post-retirement expenses. Have a good feel for everything else, but as a geezer, I have no clue what we need to figure to keep my DBL in style.[Smile]

A friend says:
"Puna? I go to Hilo! $35 for cut and around $60-$65 for color, I think my bill was $100. But I had highlights, a full color is probably cheaper."

Mahalo for the price, moms is a solid color, but that will give her an idea. Important to her, me I just let mine get grayer and grayer, especially as I follow the so called financial news.

Also I use Erik - email me for his phone number - a refugeee from big time salons in new york who rides his scooter over and reminded me of Warren Beatty (Shampoo) on the bike!
