700 Billion Dollar Bail Out Plan Does Anyone Care? - ForrU2Cry - 09-28-2008 So I saw another post and I agreed with it but the numbers did not add correctly. So here it is the correct math. If you take 700,000,000,000 billion tax payer dollars divide it by 305,000,000 people in the United States, you come up with 2295.0819672131147540983606557377 you take that number and divide it again to find out how much each individual person in the United States would receive. 7.5248589088954582101585595270089 (Millions) Each Person would recieve 7.52 Million dollars 15.04 Million dollars for a couple of Two 30.08 Million dollars for a family of Four Come on now bailout the Big finance companies that nobody wants, or help the people that the government works for! You can Payoff your credit cards debts, mortgage payments, medical bills, Have money for your retirement. The money would be spent and go back to the government and eventually more business, more spending, some people would save some would spend. WHAT WOULD YOU DO WITH 7.52 MILLION? Write your senators and ask them to not sign the bill, it will not do the average person any help but tighten the reigns on loans and mortgages, and you will have to pay the money to bail them out instead of bailing your self out! Think About It Sarah RE: 700 Billion Dollar Bail Out Plan Does Anyone Care? - rbakker - 09-28-2008 700 billion / 300 million = 700 000 000 000 / 300 000 000 = 700 000 / 300 = 7000 / 3. So not even $2500 each. Still a lot, but not quite $7.5M! RE: 700 Billion Dollar Bail Out Plan Does Anyone Care? - Rob Tucker - 09-29-2008 Okay folks, Math is indeed fun but we gotta start keeping it Hawaii..... Punaweb moderator RE: 700 Billion Dollar Bail Out Plan Does Anyone Care? - DickWilson - 09-29-2008 Rob; I agree about keeping it Hawaii, but there were only 90 building permits issued for BI this month. I'm afraid the credit crunch is beginning to hit BI just like the rest of the country. Hopefully this "bailout" will free up credit. dick wilson RE: 700 Billion Dollar Bail Out Plan Does Anyone Care? - Jon - 09-29-2008 I know of 1 builder that is having problems getting a loan to buy a lot for he next project.... "chaos reigns within. reflect, repent and reboot. order shall return." microsoft error message with haiku poetry RE: 700 Billion Dollar Bail Out Plan Does Anyone Care? - EightFingers - 09-29-2008 Bill failed, back to square one. Since Hawaii is a state, yes indeed this will affect Hawaii. RE: 700 Billion Dollar Bail Out Plan Does Anyone Care? - Rob Tucker - 09-29-2008 That is brilliant. Now why not expand on how it will affect Hawaii? And how we might adjust to reality... Punaweb moderator RE: 700 Billion Dollar Bail Out Plan Does Anyone Care? - EightFingers - 09-29-2008 How many retired people in Hawaii? Where are their investments? What was your house worth in 2005? What about now? Unless you have a LOT of money, maybe you're thinking about cutting back? At least a little bit? You pay income taxes, right? How would you like to pay about $4600/year more per person in taxes? This mess will be paid for in several ways: Loss of net worth, higher taxes, tighter credit, slower growth. I don't see how anyone can consider himself or herself isolated from this. I bet this is very real to the people who used to live in houses that are now REO's. How do YOU think this will affect Hawaii? You are in a better position to answer this than I as I'm still an outsider (Serious question and I'm not trying to be a smart azz!) RE: 700 Billion Dollar Bail Out Plan Does Anyone Care? - Rob Tucker - 09-29-2008 Well just pointing to the smoke and yelling fire isn't particularly instructive is it? |
