Realtor agents duties?? - cockney - 02-17-2005
Wanna put my mind at rest here. Many people tell me that my Realtor should have advised me about which insurance agent I could contact, I was told he is 'supposed to supply 3 companies'..My realtor insists that is NOT his job..Who is correct please? We have been though a very worrying 8 days of worrying trying to hunt down any company in Hawaii that would insure our house in HPP, we live in California, are HUD apartment managers thus we have no house that is already insured, so no one wanted to even talk to us! Finally got insurance after many sleepless nights..Thx to everyone on the Hawaii forums, such nice people that gave us good advice..

It is not the Realtor's "job" to supply insurance co. It would have been nice if he did have ins.co. to refer to. Personally, rates can vary a lot so I would rather do the research myself. Kinda like getting a car insurance referral from a dealership, I would be very cautious!!
