post & pier - 1 STOP MAIL SHOP - 10-02-2006 Does anyone know what is the maximum height the posts can be on a structure, before it counts as actual square footage, and how many piers are necessary for a 24' span, any info appreciated Kevin Costello & Meghan Wobles www.1stopmailshop.com www.alakairidgebacks.com RE: post & pier - lquade - 10-02-2006 iam not really sure what you are asking, but i believe anything less than 30 inches high such as a deck, landing etc, you dont need a permit for. but.. if you build something on it that is 1 inch over 6 feet high then you need a permit anyway.... RE: post & pier - Kapohocat - 10-02-2006 typically anything over 5'4" in height from grade to bottom of beam they will consider "open storage" and charge appropriately. -Cat Catherine Dumond Blue Water Project Management 808 217-7578 http://bluewaterpm.125mb.com/index.html "We help make building your dream home a reality" RE: post & pier - 1 STOP MAIL SHOP - 10-03-2006 Thanks Cat, that is what I needed to know Mahalo Kevin Costello & Meghan Wobles www.1stopmailshop.com www.alakairidgebacks.com |
