Plumbing Code Question - Bob Orts - 09-04-2007 I'll beat Emorata to the punch on this, Does HI permit the use of CPVC pipes for domestic cold and hot water, or is copper the only option? RE: Plumbing Code Question - Daniel - 09-04-2007 Yes. And your best option if you have catchment due to the acidity of the water. Copper has been know to leak after many years of acid rain. If you have a well then it doesnt matter. Also you cannot put regular PVC inside, it has to end at the outside of the wall. Daniel R Diamond RE: Plumbing Code Question - Carey - 09-04-2007 Both CPVC & copper are allowed RE: Plumbing Code Question - billy - 09-05-2007 i dont know if anyone has seen the pluming they are puting in homes here in arizona it is all tubing comes in rolls and no fittings it can even go around a 45 degree bend its not pvc.dont know the name of it RE: Plumbing Code Question - Bob Orts - 09-05-2007 It's PEX.
