protecting electronics (ha) - hooligal - 11-09-2007 Has anyone had luck with 'dry rooms' or cabinets for expensive electronics? I want to make a small cabinet with some sort of dessicant to store my laptop & printer when I'm not using them. I'm debating between wood and clear acrylic for the cabinet. I've heard some cat litter works well to pull moisture out of the air. I'm going to be off grid on a teensy solar system, so I can't run a dehumifier or fan (yet). Erin RE: protecting electronics (ha) - Bullwinkle - 11-09-2007 look into a "goldenrod" placed into a cabinet or closet used for storage. http://www.amazon.com/Golden-Rod-Dehumidifier-18-3G-18/dp/B0000AYBL8 RE: protecting electronics (ha) - Bullwinkle - 11-09-2007 oops - missed the best part Power: 12 watts Coverage Area: 200 cubic feet regards |
