How Much House for $250k - hpp4me - 12-08-2007 We have the lot already (HPP). No infrastructure like water or electrical hook up. Site has not been prepared. How much of a house could we get for $250,000, all bills paid? We're thinking of a steel framed, woodless home (we like the Castleblock approach, for example). We already know a "Daniel well" would be aoubt $12,000 or so, but a catchment system might be okay, too. I've heard the $130/sf figure thrown around, but I'm not sure if that includes all of the initial preparation costs, septic tank, lot prep, driveway, permits, etc. Thanks! RE: How Much House for $250k - Daniel - 12-08-2007 Aloha hpp4me, I have some good news, we have more options for our customers now and a well might be much more affordable. I tried emailing you but I guess punaweb doesnt like yahoo mail. If you would like to know more email me and will give you all the details. Rabi - 12-08-2007 I just seen a turn-key 3BD/2BA house advertised by a GC to build for $165,000. (I don't know of any details and I don't know the GC either.) We just finished three new homes in Volcano, they are really nice and cost us $200K, so you should get a really nice house for $250K. Aloha, John S. RE: How Much House for $250k - hpp4me - 12-08-2007 John, do those figures include all the infrastructure, including utilities, septic tank, water, lot prep, etc.? Also what was the square footage on those? Edited by - hpp4me on 12/08/2007 15:12:31 RE: How Much House for $250k - John S. Rabi - 12-08-2007 quote: Everything was inluded but water. (There is hardly any county water anywhere in Puna.) The homes were 1,300-1,400 sq.ft. If you need info on the builder e-mail me privately. Aloha, John S.
