Final Inspection done.....yea!!! - Rumi in Hawaii - 02-29-2008
It's been 5 months since we started clearing our lot here in Mountain View, and we just got our last Final Inspection (from the Building Dept.) completed today. I can't tell you what a joy it is to know that we are now finished with our building project (not that the entire process wasn't great fun, but this is so WOW!). It somehow feels like we're all grown up now!
I want to thank Punaweb folks for helping keep us informed and encouraged along the way. This forum is wonderful, and we feel very lucky to have such a wealth of information available.

I think we'll have to start a new blog about "Living in Hawaii" since we're now "real" homeowners!!! LOL!!

Loved the blog and I wanna say "Congrats!!!". It must seem like such a HUGE weight off your shoulders. I'm guessing it's gotta feel like reaching the peak of a really cool hike and just being rewarded at the end with an incredible view. Now I guess it's about enjoying some really good coffee with really good company. Please post pics of the new palms thanks.

congratulations! i've visited your blog several times to watch the progress. we'll be neighbors in the next couple of years. however, we will be building up at mauna loa estates. still trying to come up with a floor plan and build a house that is "forest friendly."

Well you did it and I for one think you did it in record time! Congradulations and thank you for the pictures. What a grand job. Love the tub decor, and the bedroom window! And what is that beetween the tubs, a dehumidifier? or a heater?

Wow. The house looks great.
I really like the lanai and higher post and pier design. Is it custom or a standard design? If standard, which one? I think you've mentioned it before, but couldn't find it on the blog.
