Won't a cubic yard of material cover an area 4000 SQFT 1" deep?

By my math, 1 cubic yard will cover an area of 324 sq. ft. to a depth of one inch. I WISH it would cover 4000sf, that would mean I could cover my one acre lot with 11 barrowloads, instead of about 150 cubic feet.
