Its easy to plant but I have had no luck getting it grow. (600' in Orchidland)

We tried mail order seeds and small cuttings from a neighbor (whose plants also died.) I would like to try again if I can get some well rooted plants.

I tried a stevia plant at 400' along the Hamakua coast and it didn't thrive. It isn't quite dead yet, but it doesn't seem overly happy. It is in a mostly sunny spot with some wind where the soil has a chance to dry out a bit more than in the protected spots.

Thanks Jerry and Hotzcat,
Let me know if you have any luck later.

Canhle,
My stevia plants were doing poorly a couple years ago, so I mentioned it to the lady at the nursery where I bought them and she said they need to be in full sun. I moved them from part sun to full sun and they did much better. On average, full sun here in Baton Rouge is at least as strong as in Puna and the temperatures in summer are higher. They are still picky to grow.

Isn't Stevia the sweet stuff? How do you use it in plant form?
