Need one and two gallon plastic pots - JerryCarr - 12-31-2008
I need some one and two gallon size plastic pots for my small growing operation. If anyone has some used ones, I would trade something from my plant stock for them. That way we can recycle AND save money.

I have a bunch of 1 gallon plastic milk containers that you could cut the top off. I could keep collecting them as we go through a couple gallons a week.
Keep the plants... I'd be happy to get rid of these containers [

I have been saving our plastic Folgers containers and Maxwell House containers...I just poke holes in them and ready to go. I also use them for composting material in the kitchen and for coffee grounds too.

Thanks, Damon and Carrie, for the nice suggestions, but the grading and pricing system I hope to eventually use requires that I use industry standard black or green nursery pots. Hopefully somebody out there has been piling them up behind their garage and will want to swap. BTW, your offer to donate is generous, Damon.[8D]

Rob, I'm just starting, but could easily use up to 100 one-gallon and 50 two-gallon pots.

That's going to be hard to come by as donations. They aren't too expensive. I bought mine at Greenhouse Specialties in Keaau.

Yes, that's why I was willing to swap some pretty nice plants for pots. I got some that way from a neighbor who had no use for them, but you are right about them being reasonably cheap, so no worries.

Jerry, I'll bet they are really cheap there - we get our 15 and 25 gallon pots there 15 - $5.49 and 25 - 9.50 or so...can't be that.
