Cetol - Tolleys - 01-05-2009 Anyone know where on the BI to purchase Sikkens Cetol? Mahalo Susan RE: Cetol - Jay Bondesen - 01-05-2009 That paint store, I forget the name, on the same side and just before HPM is a distributer. At least I did see their deck coating there at $85.00 a gallon. Jay RE: Cetol - gtill - 01-05-2009 It should be a Sikkens distributor. If it's new work, see what Sherwin Williams has to offer, their hi end lines might be a lifetime guarantee product! RE: Cetol - JWFITZ - 01-06-2009 For this climate it is really worth looking into the 2 pt LPU finishes such as "bristol" and others. They are vastly more UV resistant and will give better usage. Cetol is hard to apply in warm conditions and can have poor adhesion. RE: Cetol - pslamont - 01-06-2009 We bought the cetol at DeLuxe/Sherwin Williams on the highway near HPM RE: Cetol - Kelena - 01-06-2009 Refresh my recollection, please. Is Bristol a stain, too? Or is it a protectant (not sure of the right word here). RE: Cetol - JWFITZ - 01-06-2009 Hi Glen. They make 3 formulations that I'm aware with gloss/satin and with or w/o pigment in each. The gloss is really really really glossy. I've used it to finish hardwood tub surrounds and will last for years. It stinks, and requires a respirator, but in good weather you can get 3 coats on in a day. Don't worry over much about runs. It will sand and buff. |
