RENT - A benefit for the New Puna Medical Center - Youser - 01-19-2009
Just in case you missed all the posters, ads, and T-shirts, TAC (Theater Arts Conseratory) is putting on the musical RENT as a fundraiser for the Puna Medical Center.
If you attended the Medical Centre opening in Pahoa on Sunday Jan 11, you may have seen some of the cast perform a few numbers.
Performances for RENT will be January 22nd (Thursday) at the Akebono Theater, January 23rd (Friday) at the Palace Theater, January 24th (Saturday) at the Kahilu and January 30th and 31st (Friday and Saturday) at the Palace Theater.
You can get tickets via their website, www.TAChawaii.com or at the door on the night.
Come along and support your new medical center in Pahoa!

It was a packed house at the Akebono!
The cast did a good job with the acting - full of emotion. And this is a very emotional play, after all.
You have to give leeway for some off-key singing, but it's community theater and they all put their hearts into it. Sad that so many of the audience left during intermission and missed the second part. Their loss. All my favorite songs were done quite well, and like I said, all the emotion was there.
My husband and I greatly enjoyed our evening at the theater! Even better that it was a benefit for our medical center!
