6:00 and smoke in HPP - Royall - 02-03-2009
Lots of smoke down on lower Makuu. Anyone know whats going on? Heard one siren about 5:45 heading past 13th.

We were arriving home (6th/Makuu) from Hilo a few minutes ago and could smell the smoke -- not from wood burning, but more like plastic stuff (stench!).
Saw smoke hanging in air further down closer to ocean.

I told Cathie the smoke smelled like a house fire. Glad no one was hurt.
