Con Game Using Punaweb - BEWARE - centipede - 03-11-2009

I received an Email from a Lucie Guessan addressed to me as centipede. She said she went through my profile on this website and wants to enter into a business relationship. She said her father was a chief and was a gold and cocoa merchant in Accra and Abidjan (capitals of small East African countries) and that he died after returning from a business trip from France. She said he "used her name" as his only next of kin, that he called her on his death bed and told her he had a sum of "$9.500,000 USA" in a bank in Abidjan. She gave me her personal Email address and is awaiting input.

And that's about it.

Dude:

2 threads about this already. My advice is don't bother giving any personal info to dear Lucie since you're quite probably right its a scam. Best to be safe than sorry though I suppose but thanks for posting this for a 3rd time just to be sure.

Andrew

Andrew, this is my first posting on the issue and I wasn't aware of any others. I have no profile on this website.

I decided to have some fun, and to get an indication as to how Lucie follows our forum, so I sent our friend an Email indicating that I was nibbling at the bait, and the next thing I know, I'm getting a message from that miserable MAILER-DAEMON telling me that my communication wasn't sent. Her Email is lucie606@yahoo.fr which I guess means France but in any case, go figure. A financial predator goes through all this trouble and doesn't have the means of getting a reply from a potential sucker. Something is out of the ordinary here...

p.s.
Lucie, in case you're reading this, please be advised that it's anti-social creeps such as yourself who are among the main reasons for our being stalled in this monkey stage of development. Yet I have good feelings that one day, in time, brains of your caliber will go extinct. And if you really are reading this, then have some guts and say something. I believe your code name is Lucie22.

Since there is so much of this bait repeatedly, it leads one to think it must work at least a little of the time. I can't imagine who in their right minds would be taken in! Amazing...

I want to be the kind of woman that, when my feet
hit the floor each morning, the devil says

"Oh Crap, She's up!"

Always good to hear your thoughts, Pam. As to who would be taken in by such idiocy, a man once said "There's a sucker born every minute" and after that, it's purely mathematical.

The respondents greed is always required to make this work, on the other hand you can always give your $$ to the likes of madoff or stearns, same players, different league

RE: Con Game Using Punaweb - BEWARE - Cali Hi - 03-12-2009

It is not just through this forum, I got that email through here and to another email address, that one went directly to my spam folder where it belongs. This stuff goes on all the time.

While I've known about these creatures for many years, this was my first actual encounter with one and since there are a lot of us hooked into this Forum and I don't see many coming forward with similar stories, I don't know whether to be flattered or insulted by their picking me.
