It depends, what do you want to do with it exactly? It's not a complete system (unless you were planning to do solar direct) as they don't include the battery.

I DO know that I rather dislike amorphous solar cells. Looking at the spec sheet here http://www.sunforceproducts.com/prodinfo/specs/60WSolarChargeKitSheet.pdf it doesn't provide much info which is scary and inexcusable. I'm guessing that the inverter is modified sine wave and I'm quite sure the charge controller is a lump of mud. You'll definitely be getting what you pay for, so it's going to depend on what you want to do with it.

I dont have one but I think it would be great for picnics and emergencies. Not for everyday hardcore use.

60 watts isn't much power and you'd only get 60 watts in full sun so figure about three to four hours a day of full sun would be 180 to 240 watts of power. Maybe as much as 300 - 400 watts for the entire day? That might run a light or a radio, probably charge a cell phone?

What was your plans for the use of it? I am still on the mainland right now but I have done a few fully off grid homes as a matter a fact I am in one now and love it. If I can help in any way let me know
