It's been raining steady for two days now where I live close to the ocean in HPP. All I can see around us is a sheet of water and flooded roadways. I was going to go into Hilo this morning. Is it any better there?

not raining here now but that is opposite direction - the waterey sun is making shadows on the ground...

North of Hilo it's just drizzling at the moment, alternating with light rain. Probably similar in Hilo.
There's a heavy rain and flash flood watch starting this afternoon through Friday afternoon, so I would go into town early rather than late.
