Condolences - pslamont - 04-25-2009

Renee and Francine, I understand you just lost your mom. I know this is a difficult time as I lost my mom just before moving to Hawaii. I can only say that you will always be filled with the comfort that you kept her with you throughout her life and gave her Hilo sunshine, spirit and joy. Our thoughts are with you.

Pam and Bob Lamont

I want to be the kind of woman that, when my feet
hit the floor each morning, the devil says

"Oh Crap, She's up!"

RE: Condolences - StillHope - 04-26-2009

I am so sorry,Kani.Pam didn't say,but I am assuming it's Renee's mom.
My condolences to both of you.
I lost mine a long timer ago.But it is still there...
The life is going on...

Not much to say...Hang in there!

RE: Condolences - Devany - 04-26-2009

Renee and Francine, I always admired how you brought your mom everywhere and made an extra effort to make her a part of the events, even having to have her carried in to places sometimes. It was easy to understand the Hawaiian Ohana concept, seeing it in reality with you. May your mother's spirit soar through the heavens now and may her memories and traditons stay with you always. The way you cared for your mother and made her such a part of your life is an honor to you and the way she raised you too. Pam is right, you did give her Hilo Sunshine and lots of joy too.

I lost my mom in September 2001 and I was thousands of miles from her when she passed. I will always regret not being able to be there with her as you were for your mother.

Hugs to you,
devany

As Devany has said - Renee and Francine you are shining examples of "kipona aloha"!

You are in my prayers.

"Our Father"
"E haawi mai ia makou i keia la."

E ko makou makua iloko o ka lani,

RE: Condolences - kani-lehua - 04-27-2009

a big mahalo to all of you for your kind thoughts, prayers, words of encouragement and never ending suppport during these most difficult times.

mom (renee's mom) suffered what is believed to have been a stroke on easter sunday and slowly declined from that day without having received any food or water (13 days)--she was unable to swallow. we honored her wishes by not using any other methods of feeding or hydration. she passed peacefully with renee at her side at approximately 515am this past saturday.

i hear your voice calling to me
no, tis a beautiful bird singing
its melody carried throughout the forest

i hear your voice calling to me
no, tis the waves breaking on the shore
slowly taking with it the bits of sand

i hear your voice calling to me
no, tis the soft breeze whispering
weaving its way through the forest

the bird has been snared
the ocean is calm
tis quiet in the forest
