Mokulele Airlines $299 all you can fly pass - Devany - 08-25-2009

You can get a pass for inter island flights for September $299: all you can fly. Hawaiian has instituted a $24.99 fare as a counter to this. You must be a Hawaiian Miles member signed up by August 31.

Thanks Devany! I always like to hear about travel tips and discounts, especially when we're planning a trip over! Hope they will continue it into October.

And then, I dreamt of Hawaii... http://crazypineappledream.blogspot.com/

Sorry Ann, it is only going to be for September, which is traditionally the slowest month for inter island flights. I would not think that it would be worth it to buy the pass for your trip anyway, you were not planning on a lot of island hopping were you? It is ideal for someone who has a lot of work commuting to do. The Hawaiian deal may be for flights past September if you check right away.

Yeah, I was thinking the Hawaiian deal at 24.99 each way, not the commuter one. BTW, thanks for the fish info on the email, we will certainly check out as much as possible.

Read the rules closely. Hawaiians $24.95 airfare is only good for flights to and from Honolulu.

Mokulele's $299.00 fare allows you to fly unlimited number of direct flights "to any island from any island" Mokulele currently flies. Like Hilo non-stop to Kahalui, Maui. Or Maui to Kauai without having to stop in Honolulu. Those flights normally command a much higher booking price.

If you have alot of flying to do in September or want to fly non-stop to another island without having to change planes in Honolulu and have the big bucks up front...Mokulele has the better deal by far. But if you just want a couple of trips to Honolulu....then Hawaiian's deal seems better.

Kind of makes me wonder what Go airlines is going to do?

Thank Kapohocat! I'm not very familiar with Go airlines, went to their site and signed up for their email notifications however. Did they take over Aloha?

Go airlines has no requirement to be a frequent flyer member like Hawaiian for the $24.99 one way fare. And with Hawaiian pilots walking the picket line at the Honolulu airport ticket counter...it may be better to avoid it and fly with Go!

if your luggage is only carry-ons, it is even up. Otherwise Go charges I think $15 bucks for the 1st piece of checked baggage. Hawaiian doesnt.
