what is proper dress for church,do you wear lots of aloha prints or is that too "tourist" not sure what to pack to "fit" in...ideas??? thanks

My dad, who goes to the Catholic Church in Honomu, wears aloha shirt or polo shirt, walking shorts, and sandals.
And mom is in basic "tutu" dress, the required flower print mumu or a sundress.

Hi Sharon,
We go to Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pahoa. It's very informal come as you are but most women wear Aloha print dress and men wear Aloha shirt with slacks or shorts.
Hope this helps.
Lee

Sharon, most are informal to very informal. We go to the early service, & since we usually go to the beach after service, We have often as not had a swim suit on with light shorts. ( a little too informal for most church's main service, but a nice blouse or mild aloha shirt for men & shorts is OK
Aloha, Carey

Of course they sell panty hose here, what else are you going to use to cover your carburators to keep the mud out of them at the dirt track?
