de-humidifiers - agoodgirl - 11-01-2009 Has anyone ever used the Eva-Dry mini de-humidifiers? Do they work for small storage areas like closets? Not looking for whole-room coverage,so any suggestions would be helpful. mahalo RE: de-humidifiers - missydog1 - 11-01-2009 I haven't, but have another comment. The #1 best thing with closets that I've found is to simply leave the doors open. I realize this isn't the neat and tidy look of the mainland, but closed up closets don't make sense in this humidity, if a house has the tendency to get dampness in the cupboards. Another way to go is just remove the doors and hang curtains. If the closet is a big walk-in, that's a little tougher if it has no air flow, but I would try to create some. My current house is in a clearing and I have no dampness issues whatsoever in my closets, unlike houses that have had big trees by them, so something else to consider is, if you need a dehumidifier for the closet, what is it that's causing the situation? |
