They were buzzing Orchidland this morning too...I think we should put the police department in charge of the County budget. Clearly they know how to stretch every penny to its utmost if they are still spending up last year's money!

Any chance they are looking at the power lines? I've seen Helco out working on the BIG lines that come out of Geothermal the past two days. Yesterday it was a line down on 132, today out on 130 close to HPP. I commented on the huge cherry lift and 2 guys up the pole - uncle said it's the big GEO line crew.

I heard the loud cop motors circling as well this morning. Those who are "allowed" to grow it have nothing to fear, and I'm guessing that most or all of those who make an illegal living do their growing indoors. So why are the cops doing it? If it's an ongoing program of demonstrating their contempt for the people and what they vote for, it's an expensive way of showing it because their contempt is already common knowledge.

Those choppers also have infrared. They can find the indoor folks just fine now. They report back with the GPS coordinates and later get a search warrant. If people quit growing it, there wouldn't be helicopters...

Have no idea if the helicopters are a part of it, but the Keaukaha area was having a tsunami drill through the airport this morning.
As everyone spotting them is coastal... just a guess..

They still catch large indoor growers by either unusual power consumption if they are on the grid or unusual thermal readings for a residence. Those grow lights put out a lot of heat.
