A Christmas shopping recommendation - Hawaii Eye - Rob Tucker - 11-11-2009
I want to bring to your attention a Puna resident who I feel is producing some top notch photographic art at affordable prices.
His name is Jim Norton.
My family and I first noticed Jim at a small kiosk at the Prince Kuhio Mall. His eye for bringing forth the best of Puna and Hawaii is quite remarkable. He does all his printing himself. He has a creative approach to formatting his work which surprises me. And I say this as a trained photographer myself.
I also think his prices are affordable and range from $5 up to $500 for major large works.
For your shopping convenience he is now located in a storefront space across from Radio Shack at the Prince Kuhio Mall.
The shop is called: Hawaii Eye
Walk in and meet him. A nicer guy will be hard to find.

Let me second the recommendation..We have seveeral of Jim's photos in our home, and visitors always comment on them. Check out his "magic magnets" too. Oh, and a slight correction: Jim's last name is Nolan.
