Oh, thank you Mayor Kenoi RE: New Transfer Station Hours..... - EightFingers - 12-04-2009 Be prepared to haul trash on the weekends it looks like. RE: New Transfer Station Hours..... - hikatz - 12-04-2009 But at least they finally realized they made an error of judgment [] As of 12/15 they will reopen at 6:30am http://www.hawconews.com/hawaii-county-news/2009/12/4/transfer-stations-to-open-early-again-under-new-schedule-beg.html RE: New Transfer Station Hours..... - missydog1 - 12-05-2009 I hate this new schedule. I typically went between 5:30 and 6:30 pm ... and I was not alone. It was a very popular time at the station. Mine is only open three days a week now. Ugh. I need to go today, but it's not open. Transfer station not open on Saturday is just lame. RE: New Transfer Station Hours..... - Rob Tucker - 12-05-2009 I fail to see how many of these transfer station hours are friendly to commuters. Looks friendly to the unions to me. RE: New Transfer Station Hours..... - David M - 12-05-2009 If I understand what ur mayor said at his talk story session, the transfer points are fenced and manned in order to meet Fed/EPA guidelines. If we are not getting sufficient fed funds to pay for this 100% then we should refuse the money and keep them open. David Ninole Resident |
