nope. didn't feel it up here on the hill. lots of rain, wind and very chilly, though. brrr! don't know why i didn't feel it? learned just a short time later that renee and the dogs felt it upstairs.

Aloha here in MT.View it was a good jerk lasting 3-4 seconds. I reported it. Also California had one about 10 min earlier.

Noticeable thump near the bottom of Makuu.
Got this email from Civil Defense:

Message: The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center reports a 5.0 magnitude earthquake occurred at 6:30PM HST. The epicenter was located on land in Hamakua District. Currently reported at magnitude 4.5 and underneath Mauna Kea. It screwed up our telescope for a while. I felt it at Kaloli Point but just a quick "whump" lasting a second or so.

I was in Waimea and standing outside a car at Parker Center. I felt the ground move a little, wondered if it was a quake, and dismissed it as my imagination because no one around me reacted.
