RE: BIAN Sale - Ryan. - 03-04-2010

Hi friends, we're pretty new here on island. Can anyone tell me the main advantage of attending the BIAN sale? Is it prices, greater variety to choose from, or something else? Why do you attend the sale?

RE: BIAN Sale - Carey - 03-04-2010

Usually a fantastic variety of plants, the ability to talk to the growers (esp about how to make the plant grow great at your place) THE time to meet with growers (some of the growers only sell to the public a few times a year, so this is one of the only times you get to meet with the nursery people...)

Added plus, it is a great place to meet up with a lot of your friends, neighbors & fellow plant people

ETA: every plant I have bought at this sale has grown well at my place...

RE: BIAN Sale - JerryCarr - 03-04-2010

As Carey points out, the variety at this sale is amazing. I have found things there that I have NEVER seen in the retail nursery outlets. Come early, if possible, because some of the more unusual things sell out early. Prices are reasonable, but not fantastic. It's the quality and variety that make this special.

Cheers,
Jerry
