Reputable Bicycle Repair? - krysinge - 03-18-2010

It's time to get my bike back on the road after it being out of commission for the last 3 years. While it was outside, I did have it covered, but it needs an overhaul and someone to make it road ready. I don't know much of anything about bicycles except how to ride (you never forget they say!), so I'm looking for some referrals for who can bring it back to life, make it safe and not break my bank.

Any ideas?

Mahalo plenty!!

I have had good luck with Hilo Bike Hub at end of Maka'ala corner Kawili. Everything bicycle for your new helmet, gloves, etc.
Happy riding to you!

Highly recommend Mid Pacific Wheels 1133-C Manono St. 935-6211. Pro Caliber work with 'old fashion' service with a smile.

The owner @ Hilo Bike Hub is unfailingly rude and condesending. This has been my personal experience and that of fellow cyclists I have spoken to over the years. No reason, walk in the store, get 'attacked'. Just not the way a business owner should be to his bread and butter.

A former frame builder and bike shop guy.
