Great alternative to solar. Are ther issues with the neighbors or ordinances with these kits? I'm building in vacationland, would I be a candidate for this type of power source?

My only issue (and the neighbors issue) with wind power is the noise. Wind generators are a bit noisy. Some are quieter than others but it is hard to get away from. If your lot is small and you are not putting this on a tower 100+ feet in the air it may create too much noise. On larger lots where your neighbors are farther away it is a much easier issue to deal with.
I am not saying don't buy it. I am just saying make sure you get a live demo of the unit you are going to buy and listen to it. Make sure you are going to install it at a similar height so you know how much noise it is going to make.

Mahalo Obie, I would like to go green one day, looks like it's going to be solar. I promise I'll replant more trees than I cut down. I'm embarassed that I listened to my intial contractor about clearing that lot prematurely.

They were mostly junk autograph tress and way overgrown.I think it was probably the only thing you could do.
Stuff grows fast here and they left the norfolk pine in the front and the palms in the back .
There are a bunch of your palms in Al's driveway too.I assume those are going back somewhere.
