One acre for 19K in HPP - rbakker - 07-08-2010 Quite a while ago, someone (Pam?) said she would buy land in HPP if it ever got under 20K again. Well, it has! http://tinyurl.com/2c4djcu Corner of 23rd and Makuu. I don't have anything to do with this lot. RE: One acre for 19K in HPP - Punatick - 07-08-2010 Great......this one comes complete with Albezia grove !!!! RE: One acre for 19K in HPP - macuu222 - 07-09-2010 When it gets down to 5K...let me know. That's what I bought mine for 25 years ago! RE: One acre for 19K in HPP - EightFingers - 07-09-2010 That's been listed "off and on" for a few months now. What's it cost to doze an acre of albizia - about $6000? RE: One acre for 19K in HPP - mdd7000 - 07-09-2010 So you clear this lot of albizia, build your house and a tree not on your lot falls and kills you in the night! That lot would have to get down to $1 and your house built with concrete and steel. Way too much risk to assume. RE: One acre for 19K in HPP - Cagary - 07-09-2010 Couple a photos. http://www.clarkhawaii.com/search/advanced/?/mls/235367 RE: One acre for 19K in HPP - John S. (This is what I think of the Kona Board of Realtors http://KonaBoardOfRealtors.info) RE: One acre for 19K in HPP - PaulW - 07-09-2010 Ha, good point John, but actually I looked it up and $5,000 in 1985 is about $10,000 now. Albezia, isn't that some rare, delicate native tree? RE: One acre for 19K in HPP - DaVinci - 07-09-2010 quote: LOL... delicate being the operative word... RE: One acre for 19K in HPP - durian - 07-25-2010 quote: Before bulldozing albizia trees, they would first have to be cut. It is not safe for the dozer or operator to push over such trees when they are large. Cutting costs could be cheap to outrageous depending on whether or not albizias could potentially fall on electric lines or houses. |
