Is Kiele a good street in Orchidland? - durian - 08-05-2010 I have a general familiarity with Orchidland, but don't remember if I was ever on Kiele St. Now I am on the other side of the planet and considering buying a lot on Kiele. If anyone knows anything about this street I would be happy to read what you think of it. RE: Is Kiele a good street in Orchidland? - Susan - 08-06-2010 We looked at a couple of lots on Kiele over the years. For a short street those lots seem to pop on and off the market alot. 2007/2008 - Kiele road was really rough and unpaved. I also remember it as being hilly not flat. Lots of dips and swoops. One of the good points is being a short side street it would be pretty private. If I remember correctly they are all 2 acre lots. How much are they asking? RE: Is Kiele a good street in Orchidland? - durian - 08-06-2010 There are several lots for sale on Kiele right now. They are cheaper than most other Orchidland lots. They are 2 acres. The cheapest is 28 000. The lower price makes me think that there is something lowering the value on the street, but bad roads are not so abnormal in Orchidland. Did you notice any dumps or junked cars? RE: Is Kiele a good street in Orchidland? - Susan - 08-06-2010 No dumps or junked cars at that time. Of course that is always subject to change at any given moment. There was one strange house that we never figured out. It had huge duct work coming off one of the eaves (larger in diameter than A/C duct work, and solid not flexible.) It made me wonder what they were venting. A couple of years ago the asking price on Kiele was ranging from 42K - 49K. |
