Solar Water Heater - hookupu - 09-14-2010

We just had our new system put in and i wanted to give BIG KUDDOS to Drain Pipe Plumbing. John the owner came out and looked everything over. We set up a time for installation and Steve and Jacob showed up rite on time with everything they needed. These two guys are fantastic and very professional. They work together great and what they do is a piece of industrial art. As they worked they answered all our questions and when they were done walked us through the operation and maintainance of the system, which is minimal. As they left they hauled away every bit of material for us and left the place spotless. I highly recommend them for any plumbing and solar needs. They also did an excellent job on johns house after someone stole all his copper piping. Sorry for what sounds like a blattant add for Drain Pipe Plumbing, but I was really impressed.

I am glad you are happy.

The multiple different combinations of guys from Drainpipe who installed ours rescheduled several times at the last minute which meant $100s in lost income for my husband who is a substitute teacher. Then they did not put it on the side of our roof where John had said it would go, and so of course it did not receive enough sunlight, and did not pass the HELCO test. Their solution was to top the trees on our neighbor's lot. The tree cutter dropped part of one tree on our fence damaging it, which they did not fix, and of course as soon as the trees grow back, we will once again not get much benefit from the installation. Strictly a "get it passed for now" short term fix.

In summer months we get plenty of benefit from our investment, but not in the winter, and we about break even in the spring and fall. Not the savings we had hoped for when we made the sizable investment.
