Speaking of NRPS....I saw that the original member David Nelson and his Band are on the Big Island this weekend...for their annual Hawaii tour.

Saw NRPS in a "bar" at Santa Cruz Ca. I think around 1974. Less than a 100 people and than they closed the doors. Just happened to meet somebody who knew what was happening and I got to see a great show !
Only been in Ca. for a few days . Fresh off the boat from the Caribbean.

We saw the show last year in Holualoa. What a blast from the past! Reminded me of the old be-ins in Palo Alto. But the hippies looked much older. Gonna try the Pirate's Cove gig this year. I prefer daytime outdoor gigs.

I think the Pirate's Cove is in HOVE-Ocean View...not exactly sure where...a private venue.

tonight is Kealakekua...aloha theater..yes they are a great band...the ocean view gig is sort of a specila deal , includes food etc..limited number of people...northonh ,,was that comment supposed to be a joke??
