Aren't Roosters Illegal? - Chuysmom - 03-08-2011

I dreamed I was driving in the rain at night. An oncoming car had those poke-your-eyes-out blue halogen headlights. They make me feel like when I've sipped too hard on an ICEE and got a brain freeze.

I looked away from the lights, just as there was a loud slapping noise on my windshield and so much water I couldn't see. I actually jumped a little in my seat! It was a truck with those huge, illegal tires smashing water on my windshield as he rode by. When I could see out my windshield again, I looked to see the driver in the truck but he had blacked out windows! Oh wait. That wasn't a dream - that happened LAST NIGHT!

If I was a cop in Puna, I would have plenty of tickets to write! Just sayin'.[Sad!]

That is so funny and scary at the same time. Why are those blue headlights even legal?
So was the driver a giant rooster on his way to da big fight?

aiming of headlights should be part of the safety check. Folks lift the trucks - dont realize the are lifting the beams of light also...

its ok in my truck because it sits up high enough. I dont drive my sedan at night because of how often I am blinded by oncoming traffic, down right dangerous

LOL - Kathy H! Those huge round spirals of water coming of the ILLEGAL oversized tires is called a rooster tail.

Yes, those aftermarket lights are illegal too - if they come into the shop for inspection - Tony has to refuse it based on the tires and the needles-in-your-eyeballs lights. They are supposed to ticket either of those things, but I never hear about any tickets given for it.

I'll never forget the police chief's suggestion when asked about enforcement of the oversized tire and black-out car window ordinance. "Citizens should take down the license numbers and mail them in to us." In other words, "We ain't gonna do squat."

Hawaii is the most dangerous place I've driven- really problematic at night.
Bullwinkle: generally true- .

Carrie,
ROFL [Big Grin]
I had never heard that one ... learned something!
Here I was wondering what the heck roosters had to do with it, but you know how dreams are full of non sequiturs.
