Firewood Available - pslamont - 06-10-2011
I have been contacted by a gentleman have worked with a few times. He is in Leilani estates and has had multiple ohia trees die. He recently had 10 cut down. We are invited to gather up chain saws and trucks and cut it up and take it for free. This is wonderful wood and a wonderful opportunity for anyone with a fireplace or wood stove.

I nearly forgot... several of the fellows participating are doing this to sell their share rather than use it personally. If you are interested in Ohia firewood either large sections or split and stacked, call Pam, 345 8440.

I am sad to say that there was a miscommunication with the man we were to pick up this firewood from. The day is cancelled for the time being.

If it is good sized lumber without bugs, please dont waste it with fire wood. It makes wonderful, expensive hardwood floors. If you've never seen it in a floor go to zig zane downtown.

It is not "lumber" but trees. The ability and equipment to turn it into lumber is a specialty beyond me. We generally are called once trees are already down, often cut into chunks by owners that realize it is unmanageable for them. We swoop along, cut it smaller and haul it away. They are happy . We get firewood. A few needful elderly people get free firewood just because....
