Free pick-up of recyclable items - shaba - 04-18-2011
Aloha all, I will pick up recyclable cans or beverage containers for free in the Keaau/Pahoa area if you have at least one garbage bag full of Hi5 recyclables. Call Shaba at 510-371-5283 and leave your number, I'll call-back to schedule the pick-up. This is a free service in Puna to limited areas - but we redeem it for the 5 cent per piece. You get the hassle off your mind and enjoy a cleaner space. Of course tipping is appreciated!

A tip in addition to making $ off our HI5 recyclables? Really? If I wanted to give my HI5 recyclables away for free, I'd put them in the separate bin at the recycling center so at least the county recycling program can make some money off of it.

With the price of gas as it is, it doesn't sound like a huge moneymaker to me.
