The envelope I got with my property tax bill has PO Box in Seattle, WA address.What's up with that?

I remember calling them about the Seattle address last year. It's the correct address, but seems very odd to me. I don't remember them giving me an explanation as to why the property tax bills are sent to Seattle.

In the short term it's probably cheaper as the people in Seattle have better connections to offshore labor in a foreign country. Long term it would be cheaper to employ a local person, keeping that money on the island in the local economy (but I'm not as smart as the politicians and bureaucrats so don't listen to me).

I would guess that would be the case as that is the most common business model. Either way it's taking money off the island which is the main point.
